Tribute to Ho-no-ne-gah

On the banks of old Rock River,
where the indians used to dwell
A place we love most well.
Stands a school called 'Hononegah"

The Indians are gone forever,
From where their tepees stood,
And in their place this building
Dedicated to their American blood

We love its every corner,
And with loyalty our aim
We will strive to keep its honor
From from every blot and stain

Tis here some win great fame
As they fight for the purple and gold.
While others win their laurels
Through the credits that they hold

When from these halls we've parted,
Still fond memories will dwell
Around this dear old building
The place we love so well.
