Our thoughts and prayers. February 7, 2009 We send our sympathy to Ben Wilson on the death of his wife, Judy Wilson. JUDY L. WILSON, 65 ROCKFORD - Judy L. Wilson, 65, of Rockford passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, in her home after a long illness. Born Judy Lane Vasseur on April 12, 1943, in Murray, Ky., to Noble and Mary (McKinney) Vasseur. Graduate of Harlem High School, Class of 1961. Married Benjamin Wilson on June 25, 1989. Judy was a former co-owner of Sisters Cafe, with her sister Janace. Judy and Ben owned and worked together with their business, Wilson Engineering. She enjoyed gardening, feeding and watching birds through her window, bingo and casinos. Judy always was watching and trying to keep her neighborhood safe. Survivors include her husband, Ben; son James Kokotkiewicz Jr. of Rockford; sisters, Janace (John) Hammer of Rockford and Sandra (Robert) Townsend of Murray, Ky.; brothers, Jerry (Barbara) Vasseur of Mansfield, Texas, Randall (Charlene) Vasseur of Loves Park, Joe (Debra Brown) Vasseur of Rockford; numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren; and special friends, Jennifer (Eron) Heflin of Atlanta and Debbie Weaver of Rockford. Predeceased by daughter, Jody Lynn Kokotkiewicz-Heinrich; father, Noble; mother, Mary Homan; and brother, David Vasseur. Service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, in Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park; Pastor Norwood Knutson will officiate. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
