Arlene June Kocher, 89 of Rockton, IL passed away peacefully on September 15, 2014 in
River Bluff Nursing Home. 

Arlene and her twin sister, Elane were born in Cherry Valley, IL on May 30, 1925 to Walter and Hilda (Dauge) Staff.  A long time Rockton resident, Arlene attended Hononegah High School.

In 1943 she married Robert Pfaff and together they had a son Robert.  She was widowed with Robert’s passing in 1947.  Arlene married W. Lloyd Kocher in 1948 and they had two children
David and Pamela.  Tragedy once again struck with the accidental death of David at age of 20.  After 49 years of marriage her loving husband, Lloyd was also taken from her with his passing in 1998.

Arlene was a 65 year member of the Rockton United Methodist Church, where she worshiped regularly.  She enjoyed her Sundays at church and socializing with the “Breakfast Club".

She will be lovingly missed by her son Robert (Gayle) Kocher, daughter Pamela (David) Noel, grandchildren Anne (Jason) Hombach, Christine, Steven and Laura Noel; great grandchildren Justin Joiner, Jack and Sydney Hombach; numerous nieces and nephews.  Arlene was preceded in death by her parents,  husband, son David, granddaughter Amy Joiner, sisters Elane, Lila, Barbara and Shirley; brothers David and Roger.

Funeral ceremonies to be held at 10:30 am Friday September 19, 2014 in Rockton United Methodist Church102 West Chapel Rockton, IL with Pastor Megan Smick officiating.  Burial
will be in Rockton Township Cemetery.

A visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home – Rockton Chapel 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd Rockton, IL from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday.
